Aela Maloney

For me, expressing myself through jewellery is a way of putting thoughts and inner imagination to work. I find creating something in the world from these thoughts really satisfying.

Through writing and sketching, I journal my thoughts and ideas and try to bring them to life. I am inspired by the artistic process and the act of bringing my thoughts into shape. It helps me understand myself and the world as I experience it. Looking back at the hours of focus that go into each creation, the excitement and catalyst motivation I carry after finishing a project is rewarding. Turning an idea into a finished piece is fulfilling and meaningful when it becomes something that can be worn and appreciated by others. That feels really special to me.
