Brahminy Porter

My practice aims to integrate both industrial processes and an instinctive understanding of the material used. My relationship to jewellery is echoed in and anchored through the exploration of sculptural forms. The results are a dance between the body and art that continually challenge both the wearer and the observer. 
 
This piece is comprised of 3 tilted bands, creating an axis of acute angles. The fixed design emphasises both structural form and the space between, demonstrating balance and tension. The aim, in essence, is to enable movement, both whilst still and when worn.
